Detached From Reality: The Ergun Caner SagaThis entry is part 1 of 8 in the series Detached From RealityOver the course of the Ergun Caner scandal, there have been some who are so blind to truth (i.e. that which corresponds to reality) that they delude themselves into actually believing that Dr. Caner didn’t lie. How they come to this conclusion is really remarkable and a very good lesson in how not to apply logic and reason so as to achieve your goal of believing what you want. A few of their tactics: - Words? Bleh. We’ll make’em mean what we want’em to mean. Never-mind them fancy contraptions like dictionari...

False Arrest of Four Christians in Dearborn, MI(HT Eye on Apologetics) Four Christian apologists were falsely arrested in Dearborn, Michigan this last week. I’m not an economist and I’m not one for “doomsday prophecies” but I thought that this was a compelling argument and from a reputable source. An excerpt of what caught my attention most: On or about Jan. 1, 2011, federal, state and local tax rates are scheduled to rise quite sharply. President George W. Bush’s tax cuts expire on that date, meaning that the highest federal personal inco...

Rectal-Cranial Inversion MomentThis one comes from none other than our own Vice President, Joe Biden. I guess I shouldn’t expect much else these days. What is amazing about liberals is that they are brazenly admitting, almost flaunting, the fact that their goal is to redistribute the wealth in this country. What is even more disheartening is that there are voters out there who support this idea and will continue to vote these people into power. So here is the quote for the day from Joe Biden. Keep in mind, as you read, that the top 1% of taxpayers earn 22% of the income in the United States but pay 40% of the taxes. &...
